Tangalooma Island Resort Ferry

Passenger ferry services depart from Holt Street Wharf in Pinkenba, Brisbane and arrive at the Tangalooma Jetty on Moreton Island. Travelling time for ferries is just 75 minutes each way, with 4 boat services operating daily in each direction (Brisbane to Tangalooma). Please note this is a passenger ferry only, not a vehicle barge.

Departing Brisbane: 7:30am, 10:00am, 12:30:pm & 5:30pm

Departing Tangalooma: 9:30am, 2:30pm, 4:00pm & 7:00pm/7:30pm

Ferry bookings can only be booked over the phone when staying on the island, please call Tangalooma Reservations on 1300 652 250 or +61 7 3637 2000 from outside Australia.

Secure car parking is available at the ferry terminal for a cost of $20 per night or $80 per week which you can pay on arrival or there is street parking available on Holt Street just before you arrive at the terminal.

MICAT Vehicle Ferry

You can also bring a four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle to the island on the MICAT vehicle ferry if you want to explore the rest of Moreton Island outside of the Tangalooma resort.

The MICAT takes around 90 minutes to reach the island and departs from 14 Howard Smith Drive, Port Of Brisbane, QLD, 4178.

NOTE: If you are not bringing a vehicle we do not recommend using the MICAT as you will be required to trek about 1km with your luggage along the beach to get to the Villa.
